People who possess multiple skill sets and capabilities are often referred to as the "Jack of All Trades." With such high-quality skills and abilities, those considered a jack of all trades do not simply focus on multiple things; instead, they maximize the skills they have worked on.

It's without a doubt that it's challenging to do or accomplish multiple tasks – although some people do many things very well.

Culturally, we are taught to focus on one "thing." One career choice, one skill set, one goal. Concentrating on one thing makes sense and is considerably logical simply because we can MASTER that one thing.

Though sometimes viewed in a negative connotation, the JACK OF ALL TRADES should be less focused on dabbling in multiple things but maximizing the minimum of skills and capabilities we possess.

Maximizing the Minimum

Celebrities are some of the best people to observe to understand how to maximize our minimum. Although many celebrities are gifted in their own right and have amassed a significant amount of wealth, most of them did not limit themselves to what made them popular. Whether these celebrities are athletes turned real estate investors, singers turned actresses, business moguls turned reality television stars, or journalists turned multi-million-dollar book authors – they all maximized their minimum.

While celebrities are exposed to more lucrative deals because of their public image, digital platforms have become exceptionally lucrative for "everyday" people – personally and professionally.

Observing social media from a career perspective, many licensed and certified professionals have maximized their minimum. Numerous lawyers, physicians, nurses, therapists, gardeners, plumbers, investors, bankers, etc., using digital platforms have increased sales of products and services by simply sharing helpful content.

There are also the "non-professionals," or those who share their hobbies on digital platforms. Individuals who knit, draw, cook, bake, clean, work out, or offer sound advice have maximized the minimum of their skills on social media networks.

Whether seen on digital platforms or observed in real life, whether personally or professionally, everyone can maximize their minimum.

Side Note: Social media is optional, not mandatory.

Skills That Build Leverage | Balance

It's all about building leverage. Leveraging our skills and capabilities for personal or professional use. Economically or simply as a hobby. Maximizing a skill that can be used to benefit ourselves and others as well. BIG OR SMALL!

Times, trends, and, most importantly, the economy are constantly shifting. In recent years, 2020 was one of the most economically challenging periods, resulting in significant job losses for many people. While most jobs, such as healthcare, industrial trades, and information technology, were among the top in demand, many people remained afloat with other skills because they maximized their minimum.

Leveraging the skills we already possess and building upon them can create more opportunities when times shift. By investing in our capabilities, whether through education, a certification program, attending a conference, watching informational videos, or COLLABORATING WITH OTHERS, we can maximize our minimum – both personally and professionally.

One focus is nonetheless essential, but you do not have to place all your eggs in "one" basket.

Whether to increase funds or have fun, maximize your minimum!

Ecclesiastes 11:2 | But divide your investments among many places, for you do not know what risks might lie ahead.
